Words by Woody Guthrie, his daughter Nora asked Billy Bragg to put the words to music, and he recorded this and other songs which Guthrie hadn't put to music in 1998 with the band Wilco on an album called Mermaid Avenue. Performed here by the Cripple Creek Gals: Sharyn (ukelele, vocals, stomp book) and Ellie (vocals) on July 27th 2011. This was part of their fabulous set at their Live and Acoustical session at the Hollybush Inn, Osney Island, Oxford, UK.
